The Camping du Lac is facing one the largest fresh water lakes of France : Biscarrosse Lake (8000 acres). Lined with fragant pine trees and sandy beaches, it's a fantastic natural playground for families. It's immensity allows for all sorts of activities from safe bathing to water skiing, kitesurfing, sailing, fishing, canoeing... you'll be spoiled for choice.

The southern tip of the lake, where we are, is a preserved area, at the mouth of the canal linking Biscarrosse Lake to Aureilhan's. In two strokes, you find yourselves in a wild world, populated by gray herons and swamp turtles that you might be lucky enough to encounter during your visit.

And why not discover the lake by seaplane? Biscarrosse lake was the home of French seaplane aviation, from which seaplanes set off across the Atlantic and down to Africa. A seaplane museum tells you the story, and you can live the experience yourself in your first seaplane flight.
